Job summary

Delaware North Sportservice at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking seasonal Servers to join our team. As a Server, you will be the face of our restaurant and play a critical role in providing excellent service to our guests.

Please note that this is a tipped position; the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings. This role offers training, flexibility, and opportunities to grow within a hospitality-driven team.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as a server in a high-volume environment.
• Experience in credit card processing required.
• Previous experience with a POS system in service or hospitality environment preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, provide menus, clearly communicate specials, take orders and attend to guests throughout their visit.
• Enter orders into the POS accurately for kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve beverages and food and handle payment at the table.
• Adhere to alcohol service policies and request IDs as needed.
• Collaborate with other servers, kitchen and bar staff.
• Maintain clean, sanitized and organized workspaces and equipment.

Pay

$5.25 – $5.25 / hour

What will you do?

• Greets guests, provides menus, clearly communicates restaurant specials, answers questions about menu items, collects food and beverage orders, serves items ordered, and attends to guests need throughout their visit. Beer knowledge & etiquette a plus but not required.
• Accurately enters orders into point-of-sale system so that kitchen staff can prepare food and bar staff can prepare drinks, as needed.
• Serves alcohol beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Prepares and delivers check to guests at table and accepts and processes payment.
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen and bar staff.
• Performs opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned.
• Ensures all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and working properly.
• Must be punctual, well-groomed and in proper uniform for all scheduled shifts.

More about you

• At least two years’ experience as a server in a high-volume environment.
• Experience in credit card processing required.
• Previous experience with a point-of-sale system in service or hospitality environment preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Minimum 4 day availability (10am start times on weekdays and 3-5p start time on weeknights)
• Open on weekends

Physical requirements

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
• Ability to lift, balance and move large food trays, weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for set-up, service and clean-up.
• Ability to stand or walk for entire length of shift; may include walking up and down stairs.
