Job summary

Delaware North Sportservice at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is hiring seasonal Hosts to welcome guests and manage the host station. The role includes greeting guests, seating, maintaining seating charts, and assisting with dining area upkeep.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with guest service experience, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and available on weekends. Weekly pay and benefits are offered where eligible.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a guest service environment is preferred.
• Attentive and detailed oriented.
• Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Capable of performing specified procedures and following instructions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 4 day availability (10am start times on weekdays and 3-5p start time on weeknights).
• Open on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Review floor plan and reservation book daily; create a seating chart.
• Set up the host station according to the checklist.
• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
• Seat guests according to seating chart and provides menus.
• Maintain control of seating and wait times.
• Clean and maintain the host station and dining/bar areas.
• Inspect dining and serving areas for cleanliness and setup.
• Answer guest questions and provide assistance.
• Communicate with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle complaints.
• Assist with bussing, clearing, and cleaning tables.
• Assist with running food as needed.
• Check bathrooms for cleanliness and restock supplies.
• Answer restaurant telephone lines during hours of operation.

Pay

$13.00 – $15.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Answer any guest questionsregardingservice, andprovide generalassistancefor guests and employees.
• Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, respond to complaints andnotifiesmanagement, and thank guests as they are leaving.
• Assistingwith bussing, clearing, and cleaning tables.
• Assistingwith running food as needed.
• Frequentlycheckingbathrooms for cleanliness, andrestockingtoilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls,and orsoap dispensers.
• Answer restaurant telephone lines during assigned hours of operation.

Physical requirements

• Ability to remain onfeetfor the entire length of shift.
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
• Frequent walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
• Visual acuity and hearing ability are sufficient to read the seating chart and communicate with guests.
