Job summary

Wet Willie's in Honolulu is seeking a friendly, customer-first server to greet guests, describe menu items, and take orders with accuracy. You will assist in setting up sections, maintain a clean dining environment, and ensure guests have a positive experience.

• Greet all guests in a warm, personal, friendly manner.
• Review menus with guests and answer questions, offering descriptions and recommendations.
• Inform guests of daily specials and pricing when not listed on menu.
• Explain how items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
• Take guests' food and beverage orders and enter orders into the computer for kitchen transmission.
• Check identification for alcohol service and ensure legal requirements are met.
• Serve food and beverages and perform table-side preparation as needed.
• Describe and recommend wines, present wine selections to guests, and pour accordingly.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address issues to ensure expectations are exceeded.
• Clear tables, remove dishes and glasses, and reset tables for next guests.

Inform guests of any daily specials including pricing, if not listed on the menu.

Take guests' food and beverage orders and enter orders into computer for transmittal to kitchen staff.

Check guests' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcohol.
Serve food and beverages to guests, taking extra

Care to perform any additional table-side preparation or service as required for items served.

Describe and recommend wines to guests; bring selection to the table with appropriate glasses and pour the wine for the guests.

Check with the guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

Remove dishes and glasses from tables, and take them to the kitchen for cleaning.

Prepare the table for the next guest.

Prepare certain hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages for guests.

Prepare and present guests' checks, ensuring any special requests are followed (such as split checks), and collect corresponding payments.

Assist the entire service team throughout the meal period to ensure all guest's expectations are exceeded.

Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, iced tea, tableware, share plates, silverware, and linens.

Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding scheduling and attendance.
