Job summary

Presbyterian Village North in Dallas, Texas is hiring Servers to provide food and beverage service in the dining room. Open hours are 9:00 am – 8:00 pm with full-time or part-time opportunities and flexible shifts (mornings and afternoons) to fit school schedules.

You’ll join Forefront Living’s not-for-profit, faith-based family of care organizations, serving residents with hospitality, safety, and attention to detail while supporting a senior living community.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• 6 months - 1 year in A la Carte & Food Service Industry experience required.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Food Handlers card preferred but not required
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
• Ability to be patient and gracious with residents

Responsibilities

• Provide food and beverage service in dining room
• Serve residents and guests in a la Carte, full-service atmosphere with attention to detail and hospitality
• Models a service and solutions-oriented attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better
• Friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
• Ensure resident/patient, visitor, self and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
• Maintain good attendance record; arrive to work timely and conform to scheduled work hours
• Wear appropriate and assigned protective gear, i.e. apron, hair net, mask
• Ability to follow opening and closing procedures including workstations
• Clean and/or pull dishes from dish room to dining area
• Complete daily cleaning according to schedule or Supervisor's instructions
• Assists with any special events as assignedReset tables to specifications with clean pressed linen
• Fold and sort silverware and napkins for dining room
• Set-up hot buffet/salad bar/desserts/beverages/service side stations and take temperatures of food before service, clean appropriately at the end of service
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned
