Job summary

The Aspenwood Company - Village on the Park Plano is hiring Servers to deliver exceptional dining room service in a senior community. You’ll greet residents, take orders, and ensure a smooth dining experience during meals and events.

Pay rate is $16.00/hr with a full-time schedule of 5 days on, 2 off. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Candidates should obtain a food handler certification within 60 days and bring a strong customer-service focus to the team.

Qualifications

• Food handler certification within 60 days.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for meals and events.
• Greet residents and guests with a smile and seat them.
• Take orders, relay to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly.
• Ensure accuracy of orders and monitor food quality and presentation.
• Respond to resident and guest requests promptly.
• Follow food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with setting tables, clearing dishes, restocking inventory.
• Maintain professional appearance and hygiene per policies.

Location: Village on the Park Plano, an Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr.

Full Time Schedule: 5 days on and 2 off

Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events.
• Greet all residents and guests with a smile, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to sit.
• Take food orders, present them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly and efficiently.
• Guarantee the accuracy of orders and check food quality and presentation.
• Respond swiftly to resident and guest requests, ensuring their dining experience is top-notch.
• Ensure drinks are poured and refilled in a timely manner.
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards meticulously.
• Assist with setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory.
• Remove all walkers from the dining room to ensure safety and return them immediately after meals.
• Make each resident and guest feel special, showing genuine pleasure in serving them.
• Understand the menu fully and be able to explain the selections to residents and guests.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must obtain an accredited food handler certification within 60 days, as per State guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to one year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
