Job summary

The Aspenwood Company is hiring Servers to provide exceptional dining service in our assisted living community in Denton. You will greet residents, take orders, and deliver meals with attention to accuracy and presentation.

Weekend and holiday availability is required, and you will be part of a team dedicated to a warm, welcoming environment. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and professional appearance, with opportunities to engage residents and contribute to special events and daily

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly and seat them comfortably.
• Take food orders, relay to kitchen, and ensure timely delivery of meals.
• Ensure accuracy of orders and monitor food quality and presentation.
• Follow food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with setting tables, removing dishes, restocking inventory.
• Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene per policy.

Schedule

Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events.
• Greet all residents and guests with a smile, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to sit.
• Take food orders, present them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly and efficiently.
• Guarantee the accuracy of orders and check food quality and presentation.
• Respond swiftly to resident and guest requests, ensuring their dining experience is top-notch.
• Ensure drinks are poured and refilled in a timely manner.
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards meticulously.
• Assist with setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory.
• Remove all walkers from the dining room to ensure safety and return them immediately after meals.
• Make each resident and guest feel special, showing genuine pleasure in serving them.
• Understand the menu fully and be able to explain the selections to residents and guests.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm.

Minimum Requirements

• Must obtain an accredited food handler certification within 60 days, as per State guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to one year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.
