Job summary

Troon is looking for a Part-Time Server at the Wohali Golf Course in Coalville, UT. This seasonal position requires a driven individual to provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment. Job description

Wohali Golf Course, located in Coalville, UT, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less).

General Purpose

Serves guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.

Essential Duties
  • Provides immediate attention to all Guests upon seating
  • Describes specials of the day to Guests; answers questions regarding menu items and offers suggestions when appropriate
  • Takes food and beverage orders from Guests and delivers food promptly after preparation
  • Follows up with Guests to ensure satisfaction; replenishes items as needed
  • Participates in pre‑shift meetings and taste tests
  • Maintains an organized workstation and completes side work duties
  • Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilizes the point‑of‑sale (POS) system
  • Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders
  • Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques
  • Practices tray service for all food and beverage service
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance
  • Performs other duties as required
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Demands
  • Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches; talks or hears
  • Occasionally sits; climbs or balances
  • Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
Environment/Noise
  • Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
  • Noise level is moderate
Certificates/Licenses
  • Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English‑speaking customers or co‑workers; equipment manuals may be in English)
  • Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
  • Knowledge of the POS system
