Job summary

Wohali Golf Course in Coalville, UT is seeking a Part-Time Server for a seasonal engagement lasting up to 6 months. You will provide prompt food and beverage service, describe specials, and assist guests with menu selections.

Responsibilities include taking orders, delivering meals, handling checks via POS, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Must meet age requirements for alcohol service; prior hospitality experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform duties.
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of the POS system.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon seating and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Describe daily specials and answer questions about menu items.
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver promptly after preparation.
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish items as needed.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and tastings; maintain an organized workstation.
• Handle checks and cash transactions; operate the POS system.
• Follow standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and service techniques.
• Practice tray service and ensure safe work practices.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as required.

As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less).

General Purpose

Serves guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.

• Provides immediate attention to all Guests upon seating
• Describes specials of the day to Guests; answers questions regarding menu items and offers suggestions when appropriate
• Takes food and beverage orders from Guests and delivers food promptly after preparation
• Follows up with Guests to ensure satisfaction; replenishes items as needed
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests
• Maintains an organized workstation and completes side work duties
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilizes the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders
• Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Performs other duties as required

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Demands

• Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches; talks or hears
• Occasionally sits; climbs or balances
• Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
• Noise level is moderate
