Job summary

Troon's Wohali Golf Course in Coalville, UT is seeking a Part-Time Cook for a seasonal role lasting about 6 months. You will prepare foods for restaurant and banquets, learning in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

This position requires a High school diploma or GED (or related training). You should be able to stand for long periods, handle food safely, and work with the team to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare various food products for restaurant and banquet operations.
• Utilize whole food products, eliminating waste.

• Notify supervisor of equipment issues or shortages in a timely manner.
• Requisition inventory and receive supplies for daily production.
• Ensure proper storage of food items; wrap, date, and rotate items.
• Follow safe work practices and maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.

As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less).

General Purpose:

Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption, and enjoyment.

• Prepare sufficient quantities of food product in accordance to production plan or forecast needs
• Utilize whole food products, eliminating any waste
• Maintain overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas
• Alert the chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner
• Requisition inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production
• Ensure proper storage of food items; wrap, date, and rotate food items
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as required

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes, and smells
• Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms
• Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls
• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds
• Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather
• Noise level is moderate

Certificates/Licenses:

Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
