Job summary

Roaring River State Park is seeking a friendly Server to interact with diverse guests while serving food and beverages in a timely and courteous manner. This role requires accuracy in taking orders, processing payments, and delivering high-quality guest service.

Responsibilities include operating POS systems, promoting menu specials, and maintaining clean workstations. Ability to stand for long periods and work varied day/night shifts is essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately take orders, use POS to submit to kitchen, deliver food and drinks, bus tables or assist busser/runner.
• Knowledge of restaurant and bar menu promotions and specials.
• Prepare checks, process credit cards, accept and make accurate change for cash payments.
• Ensure beverages are served in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Provide timely, courteous service to all guests throughout the meal service.
• Set tables, polish glasses, prepare workstations.
• Accurately prepare sales and tip reports at shift’s end, deposit cash and receipts.
• Complete other front of house duties as needed to meet business requirements.

Summary of Position: A Server will enjoy interacting with diverse personality types, while serving food and/or beverages in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to continue to deliver outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities

• Accurately take orders from guests, submit to kitchen using Point-of-Sales (POS) software, deliver food and drinks, bus tables or assist busser/runner
• Knowledge of restaurant and bar menu promotions and specials
• In an honest and timely manner, prepare checks, process credit cards, accept and make accurate change for cash payments
• Ensure alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages are served in accordance with Federal, State, Local regulations and Company procedures
• Provide timely, courteous service to all guests throughout the meal service
• Set tables, polish glasses, prepare workstations and other side work as assigned
• Accurately prepare sales and tip reports at shift’s end, deposit cash and credit card receipts
• Complete other front of house duties such as host, and busser- food runner as needed to meet business requirements
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Position Requirements

• Obtain ServSafe Certification in accordance with Company F&B policy
• Excellent customer service and people skills

• Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people

Knowledge and Experience

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum (1) year in a restaurant establishment
National Park/Resort experience
