Job summary

Famous Toastery is seeking friendly and reliable servers to provide top-notch dining service. You will greet guests, take orders, deliver meals, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, presenting specials, and maintaining a clean dining area. Prior server experience is preferred, and training will be provided. Weekday and weekend shifts available; opportunities for flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• Previous experience as a server preferred.
• Must successfully complete the restaurant’s training course.

• Greet customers as they are seated, ensuring the table is clean and set with utensils, napkins and other essentials.
• Distribute menus and present daily specials.
• Answer questions regarding the menu.
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver them to the kitchen.
• Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.
• Ensure food is prepared correctly and to customers’ satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked orders to the kitchen.
• Collect plates and clear the table as customers finish their meals.
• Prepare customers’ checks and collect payments.
• Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
