Job summary

HI-LEX North America in Alabama seeks a role responsible for inspecting modules, sequencing them to meet customer demands, and shipping parts according to production schedules. You will work with scanning devices, load/unload trailers, and ensure rack sheets are attached to each cart as required by customers.

• Sequences racks according to customer demand print outs and rack numbers.
• Loads and unloads trailers for shipping as required by delivery schedule.
• Ensures rack sheets are attached to each cart as required by customer.
• Sets up and tests new tooling and prototypes, assists in maintaining current tooling.
• Reports rack maintenance issues or broken parts to ensure racks are maintained to customer requirements.
• Maintains required records.
• Serves on various committees as needed; performs janitorial and cleaning duties.
• Follows safety rules and keeps the work area clean and orderly.
• Performs other duties as necessary.

• Identifies problems with completed modules and notifies management
• Load and unload trailers for shipping as required by deliver schedule
• Ensure rack sheets are attached to each cart as required by customer
• Sets up and tries new tooling, prototypes, and assists in maintaining current tooling.
• Report rack maintenance issues or broken parts to ensure racks are maintained to customer requirements and expectations.
• Creatively seeks improvements in working conditions, the process and its capability, which also includes working with his / her peers.
• Maintains required records.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

• Serves as a member of various committees as needed.
• Janitorial and cleaning duties.
• Follows all safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Performs other duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

• Works in factory environment with noise from manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving equipment, parts and electrical shock. Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
• Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects – weighing up to 25 pounds.
