Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Material Handler to support manufacturing by receiving, storing, and moving materials for assembly. You’ll operate handcarts and forklifts, pick parts for shipments, and assist with packaging and shipping as needed.

You will perform cycle counts, reconcile inventory, and coordinate with on-site and off-site warehouses to ensure parts availability. Safety, EHS and quality compliance are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience storing and material handling.
• Willingness to work off shifts, overtime, and at off-site warehouses.
• Proficient in basic mathematics.
• Proficient with basic hand tools (saw, screwdriver, wrench).
• Basic computer skills: Windows, Outlook, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Move materials using handcarts or forklifts.
• Pick parts for shipments with accuracy.
• Receive/issue material requisitions and perform cycle counts.
• Fill kits and deliver to production.
• Process material against POs and WOs in the MMS.
• Coordinate with warehousing facilities for replenishment and storage.
• Resolve part shortages with logistics and production.

• Follow EHS and Quality policies; participate in quality activities.

Job Description Summary

Executes the receiving, storing, using, staging and distribution of materials required for assembly
of product. Responsibilities may also include assembly, training, packaging and shipping of products.

Job Description

• Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or forklifts
• Picks parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantity
• Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments Quantifies and verifies cycle count
• Fills kits and deliver to production as required
• Process material against purchase orders and work orders using electronic material management system
• Coordinate with on-site and/or offsite warehousing facilities for parts replenishment and material for storage
• Work with appropriate logistics and production personnel to resolve/prevent part shortages
• Perform cycle audits and physical inventory per schedule
• Help reconcile inventory discrepancies and report discrepancies to Supervisor
• Works independently and completes basic troubleshooting
• Maintains daily production output
• Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures
• Participates in quality control inspections when required
• Ability to build rapport within the immediate team and with the broader organization
• May train other team members when required
• Comply with EHS regulations and policies
• Other duties as assigned, and may be asked to be included in quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams

Requirements:
