Job summary

HI-LEX North America is seeking a Logistics Technician to inspect modules, sequence them according to customer demands, and ship parts per the production schedule. You will work with scanners and display readouts, and ensure racks are correctly labeled and attached.

This role requires physical work in a factory environment, lifting up to 25 pounds, and adherence to safety rules. You will help set up tooling, troubleshoot rack issues, and maintain accurate records.

• Follows safety rules and keeps the work area clean

Responsibilities

• Inspect modules and sequence them according to customer demands
• Ship parts according to the customer’s production schedule
• Load and unload trailers for shipping as required by the delivery schedule
• Ensure rack sheets are attached to each cart as required by customer
• Set up and test new tooling and prototypes, assist in maintaining current tooling
• Report rack maintenance issues or broken parts to ensure racks are maintained to customer requirements

Performs duties to inspect modules, sequence modules according to customer demands, and ship parts according to customer’s production schedule.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Work with computer scanning devices and computer display read outs
• Sequence racks according to customer demand print outs and rack numbers
• Identifies problems with completed modules and notifies management
• Load and unload trailers for shipping as required by deliver schedule
• Ensure rack sheets are attached to each cart as required by customer
• Sets up and tries new tooling, prototypes, and assists in maintaining current tooling.
• Report rack maintenance issues or broken parts to ensure racks are maintained to customer requirements and expectations.
• Creatively seeks improvements in working conditions, the process and its capability, which also includes working with his / her peers.
• Maintains required records.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

• Serves as a member of various committees as needed.
• Janitorial and cleaning duties.
• Follows all safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Performs other duties as necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

• Works in factory environment with noise from manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving equipment, parts and electrical shock. Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
• Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects – weighing up to 25 pounds.
