Job summary

HI-LEX North America is seeking a detail-oriented shipping/assembly associate to inspect modules, sequence components to match customer demands, and ship parts according to the production schedule.

You will operate computer scanning devices and display readouts, sequence racks and print labels, load and unload trailers, and ensure rack sheets are attached to each cart. You will also assist in tooling setup, report maintenance issues, and uphold safety rules in the factory.

• Use MES System and BAAN to communicate with client, scan labels, and print labels as required

Responsibilities

• Inspect modules and sequence modules according to customer demands.

Job description

Performs duties to inspect modules, sequence modules according to customer demands, and ship parts according to customer’s production schedule.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Work with computer scanning devices and computer display read outs
• Sequence racks according to customer demand print outs and rack numbers
• Identifies problems with completed modules and notifies management
• Load and unload trailers for shipping as required by deliver schedule
• Ensure rack sheets are attached to each cart as required by customer
• Sets up and tries new tooling, prototypes, and assists in maintaining current tooling.
• Report rack maintenance issues or broken parts to ensure racks are maintained to customer requirements and expectations.
• Creatively seeks improvements in working conditions, the process and its capability, which also includes working with his / her peers.
• Maintains required records.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

• Serves as a member of various committees as needed.
• Janitorial and cleaning duties.
• Follows all safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Performs other duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

• Works in factory environment with noise from manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving equipment, parts and electrical shock. Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
• Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects – weighing up to 25 pounds.
