Job summary

Ferguson in Portland, OR is seeking a Sales Project Manager – Septic for its Waterworks Division. You will support contractors, installers, engineers, and homeowners with product recommendations, quotations, order management, and technical sales for septic systems.

You will build relationships with customers, identify sales opportunities, and apply your knowledge of regulations to drive revenue while delivering a superior customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with construction industry products including general construction, wastewater, or waterworks equipment.
• 2+ years’ experience in Construction PM or Project Coordinator roles.
• 2+ years of Waterworks experience preferred.
• Industrial or commercial plumbing experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with digital takeoff and estimating software PlanSwift or Bid Tracer preferred.
• Advanced computer skills across Microsoft Office suite and quick adaptability to new tech.
• Salesforce experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a project from start to finish to meet timeline and budget.
• Recommend products and services that fit clients' business needs.
• Execute project per PM methodology and established project plan.
• Establish and maintain sales relationships with major accounts/customers.
• Answer branch phone calls, delivering high-level service to customers.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely, satisfactory product delivery.
• Supervise progress against the project plan and resolve delays.
• Work with partners and clients to determine scope, specs, requirements, and calculations.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports for stakeholders.
• Allocate resources and assign tasks to meet targets.
• Assist program/project managers to ensure plans are followed.
