Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Sales Manager to cover the Pacific Northwest markets for our Waterworks Municipal business. The role focuses on sales expansion, margin improvement, and market development across OR, WA, ID, MT, with responsibility for overall sales performance and oversight of associates.

Based in any Waterworks location within the territory, you will report to the Director of Utility Infrastructure Sales and lead a team of 7 outside sales representatives alongside one sales support

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in sales and/or management within Waterworks; municipal experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Water Municipal products and/or programs.
• Comfortable traveling within the market including potential flights and overnights.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure coordination and service levels.
• Assigns, monitors, and sets objectives for key accounts and sales representatives.
• Accompanies sales reps on existing key accounts and calls.
• Provides leadership for pricing proposals and strategic plans for key accounts.
• Monitors sales trends and market dynamics to determine focus of sales efforts.
• Collaborates with sales teams to promote company products and provide sales support.
• Leads and develops a sales team to pursue prospects and achieve targets.
• Manages budget and performance using sales tools.
