Job summary

Glanbia Nutritionals Inc. in Gooding Cheese Plant is seeking a Production Operator to run separator operations and deliver quality output. You will maintain records, take samples, and work closely with the shift supervisor to ensure whey meets specifications.

You must follow SOPs, stay compliant with safety and food regulations, and be prepared for weekend and overtime work as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate or learn how to operate the separators and clarifiers.
• Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure.
• Must be well organized.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Computer experience helpful.
• Ability to operate necessary equipment.
• Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality.
• Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed.
• Ability to read and write instructions in English.
• Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Run the operations of the separators within specified guidelines to deliver a quality output.
• Maintain records and paperwork accurately
• Take samples in a timely manner
• Communicate regularly with shift supervisor and lead person
• Ensure whey quality meets specifications
• Make changes to computers and separators as needed or as instructed
• Stay current with SOPs as equipment and process change
• Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Regular and timely attendance required
