Job summary

Glanbia Nutritionals, Inc. in New Mexico is seeking an Operator who can operate every position in the cheese plant and run the computer systems necessary to control production or CIP.

You will monitor product specifications, notify Team Leader when deviations occur, assist with training and relief coverage, maintain loss and inventory records, oversee CIP for assigned machines, and uphold safety, quality, and food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess general machine maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Responsibilities

• Operate every position in the cheese plant and run required computer systems to manage production or CIP.
• Notify Team Leader if product is not within specifications.
• Maintain loss sheets and inventory records; generate timely reports.
• Oversee CIP for assigned machinery.
• Train new operators and assist with rotations/relief coverage.
• Ensure compliance with safety and food safety regulations.
• Support continuous improvement and teamwork to meet production goals.
