Job summary

Glanbia Nutritionals Inc. is seeking an operator for its Gooding Cheese Plant to ensure wastewater treatment systems operate efficiently and safely. The role involves operating pumps, meters, and related equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and recording plant data.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1–2 years with wastewater equipment; willingness to learn and comply with safety and food safety standards is essential. Weekend and overtime availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; college coursework in biology, chemistry, hydraulics, and mechanics preferred.
• 1–2 years experience with water/wastewater equipment (pumps, valves, blowers, etc.).
• Strong desire to learn the wastewater treatment field.
• Ability to operate the required equipment.
• Excellent safety, attendance, and punctuality records.
• Ability to stand and walk the entire shift.
• Ability to read and write instructions in English.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sludge pumps, blowers, meters, filters, heat exchanger, gas collection system, and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and sample collection tasks.
• Record data and monitor plant performance with meters and data loggers.
• Calibrate and service meters and recording devices.
• Adhere to safety and food safety regulations.
