The SEO / SEM Specialist owns organic search growth and paid search performance across high-intent acquisition channels. The role combines technical SEO, content strategy, keyword research, paid media execution, and conversion analysis to increase qualified traffic and pipeline.
You will partner with content, product marketing, web, and demand-generation teams to improve discoverability and efficiency across the funnel. This hybrid role is based in New York, NY and requires hands-on management of search programs from strategy through reporting and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute SEO strategies covering technical audits, site architecture, internal linking, metadata, structured data, and core web vitals
- Conduct keyword and competitor research using tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog
- Manage paid search campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, including account structure, bidding, budgets, ad copy, and landing-page alignment
- Build and maintain dashboards in GA4, Looker Studio, or similar tools to report rankings, traffic, conversion rate, CAC, and pipeline contribution
- Partner with content and product marketing teams to create search-led briefs, optimize existing pages, and identify scalable content opportunities
- Run experiments across ad messaging, landing pages, audience segments, and bidding strategies to improve qualified conversion and return on spend
- Translate search performance data into prioritized recommendations, forecasts, and quarterly growth plans for marketing leadership
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of hands-on experience in SEO, SEM, growth marketing, or digital acquisition, preferably in a technology company
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, GA4, Google Search Console, Tag Manager, and SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, Semrush, or Screaming Frog
- Experience managing paid search budgets, campaign builds, bid strategies, keyword match types, negative keywords, and conversion tracking
- Understanding of technical SEO, JavaScript-rendered sites, crawlability, indexation, schema markup, page speed, and Core Web Vitals
- Proven ability to analyze channel performance and connect search metrics to leads, revenue, CAC, and pipeline impact
- Clear written communication and strong project-management skills across content, web, analytics, and design stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, analytics, or a related field; Bonus: experience with B2B SaaS, international SEO, SQL, Looker, or experimentation platforms
