Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Director/Manager of Development Engineering to lead the sensor product development for the U.S. and global markets. The role involves coordinating embedded electronics, firmware, and sensor technologies and directing multi-discipline teams.

The candidate will manage engineering groups in the U.S. and globally, drive business development for sensors, and interact with customers to shape product strategy.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience in development engineering for sensors.
• Experience directing cross-functional engineering teams (electrical, firmware, mechanical, systems).
• Strong understanding of sensor markets including automotive, industrial, and commercial vehicles.
• Ability to drive business development and customer interactions for sensor products.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of sensor products for US and global markets.
• Oversee electronic-based products with embedded microcontrollers, sensors and firmware.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple disciplines.
• Be willing to report to the office 3 days a week within 100 miles of Chicago or Milwaukee.
