Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Chicago, IL seeks a Corporate Director of Engineering - Embedded Sensors to lead sensor product development for U.S. and global markets, combining embedded microcontrollers, firmware, and sensing technology for automotive and industrial applications.

You will guide products from concept to launch while leading multidisciplinary teams across the U.S. and international sites, setting technical direction, building the team, and shaping the product roadmap in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in sensor or embedded electronics product development.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams including electrical, firmware, mechanical, and systems engineers.
• Experience managing engineering groups in the U.S. and internationally.
• Sensor application experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, off-road, industrial, or adjacent markets.
• Ability to work in the office three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of sensor products for U.S. and global markets, including embedded sensors and firmware.
• Guide products from concept through launch across automotive, commercial vehicle, off-road, and industrial applications.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in the U.S. and internationally; set technical direction and ensure programs deliver on schedule and to spec.
• Engage with customers directly and support business development; shape the product roadmap.
