Job summary

VetsEZ, via EZLabs, seeks a Senior Applied AI Product Engineer for a 100% remote role supporting a federal healthcare modernization project. You will build intelligent healthcare products to improve patient engagement, care coordination, and claims management.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on Claude Code experience to develop, test, and deliver full-stack software while collaborating with product managers, designers, engineers, and clinical stakeholders in a fast-paced remote Agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of software/product engineering experience.
• Hands-on Claude Code experience to develop functional software products.
• Proficiency in Python and front-end/backend tech (Python/TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Experience integrating LLMs via APIs and AI workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered features to improve patient engagement, care coordination, and claims management.
• Use Claude Code to build, test, and maintain full-stack software products.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and clinical stakeholders in a remote Agile environment.
• Develop APIs, backend services, automation pipelines, and LLM integrations.
• Apply DevOps/MLOps practices to testing, deployment, monitoring, security, and performance.
