Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to lead the operations and maintenance of a Zero Trust deployment within the DoD. You will interface with SASE, SD-WAN, application security, and cyber operations technologies to monitor and resolve network incidents and brief senior leadership on ongoing and resolved issues.

The role requires routing protocol expertise (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), multivendor equipment (Cisco/Juniper), network monitoring, and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS.
• Experience with Tier II/III network troubleshooting.
• Experience deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions, including Cisco or Juniper.
• Experience with classified networks.
• Experience with network management and monitoring.
• Experience implementing and managing multi-vendor firewalls, including Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, or Versa Networks.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles.
• Secret clearance required.
• HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations and maintenance of a Zero Trust deployment for the DoD.
• Interface with SASE, SD-WAN, application security, and cyber operations technologies to monitor and resolve network incidents.
• Brief senior leadership on incidents and resolutions, providing awareness of current and resolved issues.
