Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to lead the operations and maintenance of a Zero Trust deployment within the DoD. You will interface with SASE, SD-WAN, and cyber operations technologies, working with SMEs, vendors, government leads, and Booz Allen colleagues to monitor and resolve network incidents.

The role requires experience with routing protocols, multi-vendor gear, and secure networks, plus a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with routing and switching protocols and core network services.
• Tier II/III network troubleshooting experience.
• Deploying, upgrading and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment (Cisco/Juniper).
• Experience with classified networks and network management/monitoring.
• Experience implementing multi-vendor firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Versa).
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and a Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations and maintenance of a Zero Trust deployment.
• Interface with SASE, SD-WAN, application security, and cyber ops techs.
• Monitor and resolve network incidents with SMEs, vendors, and DoD partners.
• Brief senior leadership to provide awareness of incidents and resolutions.
