Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Youth Development Director to coach Guides and students using performance data and direct feedback. You’ll lead workshops, conduct coaching sessions, and develop playbooks that raise outcomes and independence for K-3 students.

You will model exceptional coaching, work in person at Alpha campuses in New York City or Miami, and help scale a coaching-first culture with measurable results and high standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience working with elementary-aged children (ages 5-9).
• Experience leading teams of five or more people, including performance management and hiring decisions.
• Experience building or growing a program, school, team, or initiative.
• Demonstrated success using data and measurable outcomes to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides and students using performance data, observations, and feedback to achieve measurable improvements.
• Facilitate workshops for K-3 students focused on life skills.
• Lead one-on-one and small-group coaching sessions linking motivation to academic growth.
• Build and refine repeatable coaching playbooks to raise performance across the team.
• Train and mentor Guides with exceptional coaching and facilitation.
