Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Youth Development Director to lead a cohort of K-3 students and develop high-performing Guides through data-informed coaching. You will deliver workshops, coach both students and Guides, and build playbooks that raise standards across the school.

You’ll work in person at Alpha campuses in New York City, NY or Miami, FL, with relocation support. A strong background in education, leadership, and program growth is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience working with elementary-aged children.
• Experience leading teams of five or more people and making hiring decisions.
• Experience building or growing a program rather than maintaining one.
• Demonstrated use of data and measurable outcomes to improve performance.
• Strong storytelling and facilitation skills with young children; able to coach adults.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides and students using data and observations to achieve measurable improvements.
• Lead workshops for K-3 students on communication, resilience, collaboration, and life skills.
• Conduct one-on-one and small-group coaching to connect motivation with academic growth.
• Develop repeatable coaching playbooks to raise performance across the team.
• Mentor Guides and model exceptional coaching and facilitation daily.
