Job summary

IntoGREAT is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper with strong Xero expertise to own end-to-end bookkeeping, payroll, reporting, and compliance for Australian clients while supporting growth and client relationships.

You will manage books using Xero, prepare payroll and statutory payments, and deliver regular management reports. This role requires solid experience in Australian accounting practices and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting practice experience.
• Minimum 3 years NZ/Australia accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Proficient with Xero accounting software.
• Proficient with MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping using Xero with bank, card, PayPal, and petty cash reconciliations.
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing and supplier reconciliations.
• Process payroll, STP lodgments, superannuation payments, and payroll compliance.
• Prepare payroll tax, WorkCover, CoInvest, and industry reporting requirements.
• Complete year-end payroll reconciliations and payment summaries; manage WorkCover claims.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and monthly depreciation processing.
• Prepare monthly management reports (Aged Payables/Receivables, P&L, BS, Budget vs Forecast).
• Maintain General Ledger; post journal entries and assist budgeting/forecasting.
• Prepare BAS, IAS, TPAR via Xero Tax; perform BAS reconciliations; liaise with ATO.
• Support practice management and perform ad hoc bookkeeping tasks.
