Job summary

IntoGREAT is seeking an AU Senior Financial Accountant (CPA) to join our remote team. The role involves leading financial reporting, compliance, audits, and payroll oversight in close cooperation with the CFO.

You will provide commercial insights to drive business decisions and support continuous improvements across the finance function. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in financial accounting, CPA qualification, strong Excel, and experience with Xero or similar software.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant financial accounting experience.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, statutory reporting, and external audit requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, reconciliations, financial analysis, modelling).
• Experience with Xero or similar accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, including journals, accruals, provisions, cost-centre allocations, and transaction reviews from connected systems.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet, general ledger, bank, credit card, prepayment, and financing accounts, investigating outstanding items.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis, and CFO commentary.
• Maintain cash flow reporting and support quarterly Appendix 4C preparation and reconciliations.
• Lead ASX financial reporting, including schedules, accounting papers, disclosures, and compliance requirements.
• Manage half-year reviews and year-end audits, coordinating deliverables with the CFO.
• Review payroll processing and prepare related month-end provisions and reconciliations.
• Prepare GST, PAYG, FBT, payroll tax, and other statutory obligations.
• Coordinate stocktakes and inventory reconciliations, valuations, and biological asset accounting.
• Maintain fixed asset register, depreciation schedules, and review capex/WIP accounting.
• Maintain chart of accounts and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, government incentive applications, and process improvements.
