Job summary

The University of Missouri Writing Center seeks a Senior Student Service Coordinator to oversee daily operations across three tutoring sites and the Online Writery. You will supervise 50-60 undergraduate tutors, coordinate outreach and events, and assist with graduate-focused programming.

Preferred candidates have a Bachelor's degree and experience with program management, tutoring, and mentoring graduate staff. This role includes payroll tasks and on-site supervision, with a varied schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Experience tutoring and/or teaching preferred.
• Experience managing undergraduate students and working with graduate students is desirable.
• Strong program management and/or event planning abilities are valued.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of Writing Center sites, including on-site supervision.
• Assist in scheduling, training, and evaluations of 50-60 undergraduate tutoring staff.
• Coordinate outreach presentations, event planning, marketing materials, and front desk supervision.
• Facilitate graduate student–focused programming and events.
• Assist training and mentoring of 15-20 Graduate and professional tutoring staff.
• Manage payroll and personnel data for the Center.
• Perform additional duties to support Graduate and Undergraduate needs.
