Western Camps, Inc. in Reedley, California seeks a Senior Wrangler / Lead Wrangler (Level 3) to lead the Stables Dept. You will mentor junior wranglers, teach Outdoor Education, and deliver exceptional guest experiences with advanced horsemanship.

The role focuses on safety, professionalism, and customer service, with opportunities to train staff and improve programs across our horse-related activities and camps.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of horse behavior, handling, safety, and welfare.
• Experience leading trail rides or horse programs.
• Experience teaching or mentoring children and groups.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability for afternoons, weekends, holidays, and seasonal programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead wrangler and primary contact when the Stables Manager is unavailable.
• Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 Wranglers and train new staff.
• Teach Outdoor Education horse classes and lead school groups.
• Deliver engaging horse experiences and trail rides for guests.
• Maintain high horse welfare and safety standards.
