Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to manage patients at the Wound Care Center, Lymphedema Center, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Center. You will provide evaluation, treatment, and orders in collaboration with physicians, while guiding a care team and ensuring adherence to hospital policy.

Experience in wound care and lymphedema is preferred; strong documentation and patient education skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills to assess patients and plan care.
• Debridement of wounds as indicated.
• Application of wound dressings as indicated.
• Ability to lead the care team.
• Manage patients weekly and monitor progress.
• Follow up on cultures and diagnostic studies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate initial and ongoing patient condition in wound/lymphedema/Hyperbaric centers.
• Write orders per patient care requirements within hospital policy.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment as needed.
• Refer to ancillary services and community resources as appropriate.
• Lead interdisciplinary rounds and mentor staff.
• Ensure patient education and discharge planning are completed.
