Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 4+ years of underwriting California Workers’ Compensation experience.
• Willingness to travel; strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites new and renewal business per guidelines.
• Analyzes risk to set coverage, pricing, terms.
• Collaborates with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients.
• Obtains necessary information and orders reports.
• Documents underwriting decisions to comply with regulations.
• Maintains relationships with customers to grow profitable business.
• Markets products to brokers and agents; participates in marketing initiatives.
• Keeps up with industry trends and regulatory changes.
