Job summary

Republic Indemnity is hiring a Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist to manage California claims from investigation through resolution. The role is based in Southern California with a hybrid schedule for local candidates and consideration for remote applicants not local to the Woodland Hills office.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of California WC claims experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong investigative and analytical skills to assess coverage, liability, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Field of Study: Liberal Arts, Business or a related discipline.
• Experience: Generally, 6 to 10 years of experience handling California Workers' Compensation Claims.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and maintains claims; reviews coverage and/or liability.
• Secures and analyzes information (reports, policies, appraisals, releases, statements, records).
• Works toward resolution; attends arbitrations, mediations, depositions or trials as necessary.
• May affect settlements/reserves; submits recommendations to supervisor on cases exceeding authority.
• Conveys complex information to appropriate parties with a professional demeanor.
• Ensures claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner and compliance is maintained.
