Job summary

PMA Companies in Pennsylvania seeks an in-house counsel with PA workers’ compensation litigation experience to represent insured and self-insured employers in the resolution of claims. You will draft pleadings, briefs, and memos and conduct depositions as part of defense strategy.

The role requires an active PA Bar license and 2–3 years of relevant litigation experience, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and PA Bar license.
• 2–3 years of PA workers' compensation litigation experience representing insured and self-insured employers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and internal legal billing systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of client presentations and training seminars.

Responsibilities

• Litigate insurance company and TPA workers' compensation claims in PA.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, memos, and other legal documents.
• Conduct depositions and participate in settlements and negotiations.
• Advise internal clients on developments in workers' compensation law and regulatory changes.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Travel to various PA locations as needed.
