Job summary

Old Republic Commercial Risk's in-house counsel team seeks an experienced attorney to lead the litigation of PA workers' compensation claims, representing insureds and self-insured employers. You will draft pleadings, conduct depositions, negotiate settlements, and advise on strategy while developing client relationships.

You must have a JD from an accredited U.S. law school, PA Bar license, 2–3 years of workers' compensation litigation, and strong skills in research, negotiation, and written

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school required.
• Licensed with the PA Bar Association.
• 2–3 years of workers' compensation litigation experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong prioritization abilities.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Extensive knowledge of PA workers' compensation law and litigation.
• Experience with litigation management techniques.
• Ability to travel across PA.

Responsibilities

• Litigate insurance and third-party administrator workers' comp claims in PA.
• Prepare correspondence, memoranda, briefs, and pleadings.
• Conduct depositions of claimants, insureds, and experts.
• Negotiate settlements and advise internal clients on strategy.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; perform regulatory research.
