Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist to review, analyze, and process moderately complex to complex claims within assigned authority. The role involves liability decisions, reserve management, negotiations, and coordinating litigation activities.

Some travel to onsite visits is expected, with partial remote options for eligible locations. Candidates should have 2+ years of workers' compensation experience, strong investigative skills, and relevant

Qualifications

2+ years in workers' compensation claims handling, including lost time or litigated claims.
Knowledge of investigation techniques, medical terms, and legal aspects of claims.
Licenses/certifications as required; continuing education preferred (AEI/IIA/CPCU).

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct investigations to analyze coverage and determine liability and damages.
Engage independent adjusters, experts, and examiners as needed.
Refer complex claims to subrogation or SIU teams when appropriate.
Assess coverage, establish and adjust reserves as claims progress.
Coordinate litigation activities and represent the company at trials when required.
Mentor teammates and participate in quality reviews and trainings.
