Berkley Risk is seeking a skilled Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist in Minnesota. The role focuses on handling incoming and complex cases, ensuring compliance with established guidelines, and managing medical treatment to help injured workers return to work.

The candidate will interact with clients, legal counsel, and healthcare professionals, perform accurate documentation, and maintain case reserves while meeting performance standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of workers’ compensation administration rules/laws.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to interface with clients, legal counsel and health care professionals.
• Good math and analytical ability.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic PC skills and a working knowledge of Windows; experience with a client/server based claims system.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims and determine compensability and overall claims management for assigned files.
• Document handling activities; create and document action plans.
• Establish appropriate case reserves.
• Manage medical treatment and disability while aiding the injured worker to return to work.
• Address customer inquiries in a professional manner.
• Participate in client claim reviews as scheduled.
