Job summary

Key Risk (a Berkley Company) is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Representative III to analyze and manage complex claims, review coverage and compensability, and maintain compliance with state statutes while acting in a fiduciary role for policyholders.

You will negotiate settlements, assign reserves, coordinate with vendors, and communicate with claimants, attorneys, and clients. A BA/BS and 3–5 years' claims experience are preferred; travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of workers’ compensation claims management experience.
• Adjuster license strongly desired or ability to obtain license within six months.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation principles and state statutes.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes workers’ compensation claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure.
• Negotiates settlement of claims up to designated authority level and makes claim payments.
• Calculates and assigns reserves and manages reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
• Develops action plans and drives claims to timely resolution.
• Coordinates state filings and manages litigation where applicable.
• Communicates with clients, claimants, and vendors to ensure quality claims service.
