Job summary

North Risk Partners, LLC in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Administrator who will advocate for clients and work closely with Risk Advisors to resolve claims effectively.

You will develop action plans for high exposure claims, monitor reserves, and mentor junior staff while utilizing our claims software to ensure timely, accurate processing. A strong background in WC claims, a valid P&C license, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree and 6+ years of experience in workers’ compensation claims.
• Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation claims processes.
• Active property & casualty license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with client empathy.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships.
• Ability to manage complex tasks with multiple variables.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and database programs.
• Knowledge of ModMaster is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide service, expertise, and guidance to clients with a planned approach for prompt, fair handling of workers’ compensation claims.
• Develop action plans on high exposure claims.
• Work value-added services for large client accounts.
• Monitor specific claims with a goal to insure reserve and claims handling accuracy.
• Work with insurance adjusters and clients as a liaison to advocate for the best claim resolution.
• Demonstrate the ability to have challenging discussions in a respectful manner.
• Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate product by utilizing the company’s software system(s).
• Collaborate with team members to identify claim issues, potential solutions, strategies and services for clients.
• Prepare and analyze loss history and claim reports to identify loss trends with the goal of reducing the cost of risk.
• Apply and gain a full understanding of experience modifications, reserve analysis, and Unit Stat Card filings.
• Mentor Associate Claims Administrators on the team.
