Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is launching an Enterprise HCM transformation centered on Workday and is hiring a Senior Workday Analyst in Austin, TX. This role supports a high-impact 18-month implementation, designing, configuring, and optimizing Workday within Dell Medical School’s enterprise environment.

Reporting to the Enterprise Application Manager, you will mentor analysts, lead complex tasks, and collaborate with stakeholders to align technology with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in application support, configuration, or systems analysis.
• Minimum two years of experience providing technical support and stakeholder engagement for healthcare finance and revenue cycle systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level support for complex application issues and escalations.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop sustainable solutions for recurring problems.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve critical issues and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure solutions meet organizational objectives.
• Implement advanced configurations and integrations to support business workflows.
• Contribute to application roadmapping and prioritization of enhancements.
• Participate in major upgrade projects by managing configuration and validation tasks.
• Ensure compliance with security and organizational standards during changes.
• Partner with business units to design and refine processes and workflows that improve efficiency and user experience.
• Lead medium- to large-scale projects or workstreams within large initiatives.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for complex system changes.
• Coordinate go-live activities and post-implementation support.
• Engage stakeholders throughout project phases to validate requirements and deliverables.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including configuration guides and workflow diagrams.
• Prepare reports on system performance, utilization, and compliance metrics.
• Maintain version control and ensure documentation meets audit requirements.
• Develop process documentation and contribute to organizational knowledge management.
• Provide guidance on troubleshooting, configuration standards, and project tasks.
• Assist with onboarding and skill development for new analysts.
• Support training efforts for end users and technical staff.
