Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Functional Architect for Workday Student focused on Australian and New Zealand higher education. The role leads student lifecycle design across admissions, records, curriculum, financials, and graduation, aligning solutions with regulatory and institutional objectives.

Ideal candidates bring Workday Student experience, stakeholder leadership, and a passion for translating higher education needs into practical system designs. Remote collaboration across regions is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Current Workday Student certification, or commitment to achieve certification.
• Experience in Australian or New Zealand university student administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the functional architecture for Workday Student programs from discovery through deployment.
• Own end-to-end student lifecycle design across admissions, records, curriculum and student finances.
• Ensure localised solutions are compliant with ANZ regulatory obligations such as TEQSA, ESOS/CRICOS, PRISMS.
• Translate strategy and policy into clear solution principles and roadmaps.
• Facilitate cross-functional design forums and guide complex decisions.
• Oversee processes, security, integrations, reporting and data readiness.
• Mentor consultants and lead practice-wide improvements.
• Support sales pursuits with estimation and client demonstrations.
