Higher Digital Inc. is seeking a Workday Student functional and integration SME to support a product and engineering team through the end of 2026. This remote, part-time engagement focuses on assessing integration requirements, mapping data concepts, and proposing an initial architecture.

You will review field lists, map data sources to Workday concepts, assess gaps, and advise on processes. Methods include WWS, RaaS, Studio, and Orchestrate, with concrete deliverables and next steps.

Qualifications

• Direct functional Workday Student experience and understanding of SIS processes.
• Practical experience supporting Workday Student integrations.
• Ability to translate functional requirements for product managers and engineers.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review an existing integration field list, identify equivalent Workday concepts and data sources, and explain how values can be obtained or derived.
• Assess data gaps and their business and technical impact, recommending how to address or prioritize them.
• Advise on Workday Student processes and configuration, particularly courses, sections, schedules, and instructor associations.
• Explain how approval workflows and institution-specific configuration affect data access, updates, and integration behavior.
• Assess approaches for bidirectional synchronization, asynchronous transactions, and bulk data retrieval.
• Evaluate suitable integration methods for prioritized use cases, including Workday Web Services, RaaS, Studio, and Orchestrate where relevant.
• Support limited follow-up questions within the agreed engagement.
