Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Principal Consultant for its Workday Student Practice focused on Australia and New Zealand. You will lead design and configuration for Student Records, enrolment, progression and government reporting, and extend expertise to Admissions and TAC processes.

You will guide institutions on Workday Student and related integrations, mentor other consultants, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, scalable solutions for ANZ universities.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in student records, student administration, admissions or related higher education function.
• Understanding of academic structure, enrolment, progression, completion and graduation processes.
• Familiarity with TAC processes (UAC, VTAC, QTAC, SATAC, TISC) including offers and data exchange.
• Familiarity with CRMs used for student recruitment (Salesforce, Dynamics 365) and how they connect to SIS.
• Knowledge of TCSI reporting and USI requirements and related compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and design sessions for academic structure, student records and enrolment changes.
• Lead Admissions design across TAC and direct entry channels, including offers and deferrals for international students.
• Configure Student Records and Admissions processes, rules, eligibility, holds and statuses.
• Design end-to-end TAC applications, preferences, offer rounds and data mappings with technical teams.
• Define how regional CRMs interact with Workday Student and data hand-off with client teams.
• Bridge functional design and integrations with data mapping, triggers, timing and error handling.
• Ensure Workday Student is configured for ANZ local course structures, terminology and reporting obligations.
• Capture data and processes for USI, PRISMS, international student obligations and related compliance needs.
• Align Student Financials with admission and enrolment events and related financial impacts.
• Identify data, security, privacy, records management and reporting requirements across the lifecycle.
• Document requirements, design decisions and configuration.
• Prepare and execute unit testing and support end-to-end and integration testing.
