Job summary

Motion seeks a Senior Workday Security Analyst to design, administer, and govern Workday security across HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and related modules. You will partner with HR, Internal Audit, Compliance, and IT to ensure proper access controls, SoD, regulatory compliance, and security best practices across the Workday platform.

You will implement RBAC, manage user provisioning, review access, support audits, and help with upgrades and integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday security administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with Security Groups, Domain Security Policies and RBAC.
• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) principles and SoD.

**Title: Senior Workday Security Analyst****Summary:**The Workday Security Analyst is responsible for the design, administration, governance, and ongoing support of Workday security across Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Benefits, and other Workday modules. This role partners with HR, Internal Audit, Compliance, and Information Technology teams to ensure appropriate access controls, segregation of duties (SoD), regulatory compliance, and security best practices are maintained across the Workday platform.The ideal candidate possesses strong Workday security expertise, analytical skills, and experience implementing role-based security models in a complex enterprise environment. Key ResponsibilitiesWorkday Security Administration* Configure, maintain, and support Workday security domains, business process security policies, and security groups.* Design and implement role-based access controls that align with business requirements and security standards.* Troubleshoot and resolve Workday security-related issues and access requests.* Support implementation of new Workday functionality and security requirements.Governance, Risk & Compliance* Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.* Review and monitor segregation of duties (SoD) risks and recommend mitigating controls.* Participate in internal and external audits by providing security documentation, reports, and evidence.* Conduct periodic access reviews and certification processes.User Access Management* Manage user provisioning, role assignments, security changes, and deprovisioning activities.* Evaluate and approve security requests according to established governance procedures.* Maintain documentation of roles, security groups, and access controls.* Coordinate with HR and business stakeholders to support employee lifecycle security processes.Reporting & Analysis* Develop and maintain Workday security reports and dashboards.* Analyze security configurations to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.* Support compliance reporting and audit requests.* Perform impact assessments for security changes and system enhancements.Project & Enhancement Support* Participate in Workday implementations, upgrades, and releases.* Assess security implications of new business processes and integrations.* Collaborate with Workday functional, integration, and technical teams to ensure secure system design.* Support testing and validation of security-related changes.Continuous Improvement* Recommend improvements to security governance processes.* Stay current on Workday security best practices and emerging capabilities.* Support automation efforts related to access management and compliance monitoring.* Develop training and documentation for administrators and business users. Required Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent work experience.* 5+ years of Workday security administration experience.* Hands-on experience with:* Security Groups* Domain Security Policies* Business Process Security Policies* Role-Based Security* User-Based Security* Constrained and Unconstrained Security Groups* Experience supporting Workday HCM and at least one additional module such as Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence, Financials, or Adaptive Planning.* Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) principles.* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications* Workday Pro Security certification or equivalent Workday security training.* Experience with Workday Financials security.* Experience with SOX compliance, audit controls, and segregation of duties analysis.* Knowledge of SAML, Single Sign-On (SSO), MFA, and identity management platforms.* Experience working with Workday integrations and understanding security implications of integrations.* Experience with ServiceNow or other IT service management platforms.
