Job summary

The City of Worcester is seeking a Payroll and Time Tracking Analyst to lead complex payroll processing within the Payroll Division of the Human Resources Department. You will use Workday HCM/Payroll and act as a subject matter expert on municipal payroll regulations, union contracts, and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5 years of relevant payroll experience
• 2 years of experience with payroll compliance laws and requirements
• 2 years of experience executing payroll using Workday or similar software
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Lead complex payroll processing and analysis using Workday HCM/Payroll
• Serve as SME for Workday Payroll and payroll regulations
• Coordinate payroll across all frequencies and employee groups
• Collaborate with HR, Finance and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely pay
• Perform testing and QA for Workday upgrades and configurations
