Job summary

Lyft seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to own the design, development, and delivery of Workday integrations and AI-enabled solutions for the People Technology team. You will partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Benefits to translate complex requirements into scalable, maintainable systems and will drive integration best practices across the organization.

You will integrate LLMs into HR workflows, build MCP servers exposing data securely to AI agents, and mentor junior engineers while shaping

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on Workday integration experience across Core Connectors, EIB, and Workday Studio.
3+ years of payroll and benefit integrations including PECI and related connections.
2+ years of developing and shipping custom applications in Workday Extend.
2+ years building Workday Prism pipelines for data transformation and reporting.
Proven ability to build AI-powered features by integrating LLMs into HR workflows.
Strong proficiency in Workday Studio (XSLT, XPath, transforms).
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and Workday Web Services (WWS).
Experience creating Workday reports and calculated fields for integrations and Extend.
Clear technical documentation: design docs, data mappings, runbooks, integration guides.
Preferred: Workato integration platform experience.
Preferred: Building MCP servers to securely expose data to AI agents.
Preferred: Payroll migrations and cutover coordination.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and maintain Workday integrations across Core Connectors, EIB, and Workday Studio.
Own the full integration lifecycle from requirements gathering through production support and maintenance.
Architect and develop custom applications using Workday Extend.
Build and maintain Workday Prism Analytics pipelines for data transformation and reporting.
Identify and build AI-powered automations that reduce manual HR workflows.
Develop MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to securely expose data to AI agents.
Develop Workday reports (Advanced, BIRT) and calculated fields for complex business logic.
Document technical designs, data mappings, and runbooks; collaborate on Jira and Confluence documentation.
