Job summary

Blue Yonder is seeking an experienced Staff Workday Engineer to lead design, configuration and optimization of Workday and related HR technology initiatives. The role focuses on Talent, Performance, Compensation, Security, Reporting and Workforce Planning, with collaboration across HR, IT and external partners.

The successful candidate will drive requirements, design, testing and deployment in an Agile environment, leveraging Jira for epics and user stories.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Workday experience with hands-on design, configuration, enhancements and production support.
• Experience in Workday HCM areas such as Talent, Performance, or Adaptive Planning.
• Strong reporting skills in Workday, including Advanced, Composite, Matrix and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR stakeholders to translate HR and Talent strategies into scalable Workday solutions.
• Lead Workday initiatives across Talent, Performance, Compensation, Security, Reporting and Core HCM.
• Serve as a senior Workday SME and trusted advisor to HR, Talent, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Drive initiatives from requirements gathering through configuration, testing, deployment and post-production support.
• Assess business requirements, evaluate options, and design practical, scalable technology solutions.
• Design and optimize Workday business processes, workflows, approvals, and security controls.
• Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, data sources and analytics.
• Support Workday security initiatives, including role design and access controls.
• Support Talent, Performance and Compensation initiatives through design, configuration and reporting.
• Support workforce planning and Workday Adaptive Planning where applicable.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate HR processes using Workday capabilities.
• Review solution designs and integrations for scalability, security and compliance.
• Collaborate with offshore teams and external partners for solution direction and oversight.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and drive to resolution.
