Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks a Senior Workday Business Analyst to translate business requirements into functional specs, user stories, and test plans for Workday HCM. You will partner with HR, Payroll, Finance and IT to deliver scalable Workday solutions that improve efficiency, data quality and employee experience.

You will lead discovery sessions, document requirements, and support testing and production activities across HRIS domains, ensuring compliance and strong stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of business analyst/HRIS analyst experience supporting enterprise applications.
• 3+ years of hands-on Workday HCM experience.
• Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Absence, Time Tracking processes.
• Experience gathering requirements, documenting functional specs, writing user stories, and supporting Agile or hybrid delivery.
• Experience supporting Workday testing: test planning, scenario development, defect tracking, regression testing, UAT.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and build stakeholder trust.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and validate Workday requirements.
• Lead requirements sessions, process reviews, and discovery with HR, Payroll, Finance and IT partners.
• Translate needs into functional specs, user stories, acceptance criteria and testable requirements.
• Analyze current-state processes, identify gaps, and design future-state Workday solutions.
• Partner with configuration, integration, reporting, and security teams for scalable, compliant solutions.
• Support Workday enhancements, releases, upgrades, testing, and production support.
• Develop and maintain documentation including BRDs, FDDs, test scripts and support procedures.
• Coordinate system testing, UAT, issue triage, and business readiness activities.
• Monitor data trends and feedback to drive improvements; stay current with Workday releases.
